Linking Assets to Product Sheets
Learning Objectives
- Link assets to product sheets
- Create associations using assets already present in the DAM
- Import new assets into the DAM and link them on the fly
Your product sheets can be illustrated with images, videos, or enriched with other types of assets. To do this, you need to link your product sheets to assets. There are several ways in Quable PIM to link your asset files to product sheets.
The link can be made from the asset sheet in the Links section, by importing a link file, via the API, or by using an automatic association rule.
The simplest way is to do it manually on a product sheet from the Assets tab. This is what we will cover here.
Link an asset to a product sheet, from the product sheet
The asset is already uploaded in the DAM

- Go to the product sheet that should be linked to the asset
- Select the Assets tab
- Identify the link through which the asset should be associated with the product sheet.
- The asset is already in the DAM: type the name or code of the asset into the input bar, then select it from the dropdown menu.

The number in parentheses indicates the number of assets already present in the link
Tips
It can be useful, to make identifying assets easier, to open a new tab in your web browser and load the page of your DAM classification. This way, you will have immediate access to the name or code of the assets you want to link to the product sheet.
New asset to import into the DAM
If the asset is not yet present in the DAM, you can upload a new file while linking it to the product sheet.
- From the product sheet, click on the Assets tab and identify the link through which the asset should be associated with the product sheet.
- Click the Add new assets button and select the file from your workstation that you wish to link to this product sheet.

A Download window will open allowing you to confirm your upload by clicking the Start button. Multiple assets can be uploaded at once.
Tips
The uploaded asset will be categorized under the default Assets node in your DAM. If you observe specific classification of asset in your DAM, it will be necessary to move the uploaded asset to the appropriate classification node.
