Overview

Quick Search lets you find and access your products and assets in just a few seconds, from any page in Quable PIM.

It's designed for everyday searches: finding a Product Sheet by its name or its code, checking whether a visual already exists in the DAM, or jumping to Advanced Search when you need to go further.

The Quick Search bar is always available in the top bar, at the top of every Quable PIM page. It therefore stays accessible no matter which screen you're working on.

When you enter text in the search bar, Quick Search checks the following attributes of the product or asset:

1. Name - The name attribute of products or assets

2. Code - The code value of products or assets

3. Variant code - The variant code value of products

Search for a product or an asset

Run a search

Type a few characters in the search bar: matching results appear from the first 3 characters onward, and as you keep typing. By default, the list combines products and assets.

Filter by object type: the Products and Assets buttons

Two buttons, Products and Assets, let you display only one or the other object type in the results. Handy when you already know you're looking for, say, a visual rather than a Product Sheet.

Preview a result on hover

When you hover over a result, a preview panel appears on the right. Its content depends on the object type:

Open a result or go further

Once your results are displayed, three actions are possible:

1. Click a result: opens the relevant Product Sheet or asset directly.
2. Press Enter: switches to Advanced Search, with the Products object selected by default. Ideal for turning a Quick Search into a detailed search.
3. Click Show all: opens Advanced Search on the corresponding object type. "Show all" under products opens Advanced Search on the products side; under assets, on the assets side.
