TextMaster Projects
Use TextMaster directly in your Quable PIM!
This is an optional feature that must be activated by your Quable sales representative.
TextMaster is an internationally recognized online translation solution that you can use to translate your product information directly from your Quable PIM.
Translation Projects
When you select text content from your Quable PIM to send to TextMaster, you're creating a project. Projects allow you to easily monitor and manage your projects via the TextMaster Projects page in the Data Flow menu.
Statuses
Projects follow a succession of statuses. These are described in the following table.
Status | Description |
---|---|
In creation | The project is being created and you can edit or add/remove content from it. |
In progress | The project is being translated and you can't edit it. |
In review | The project translations are waiting for you to review/validate/rejectect it. |
Completed | The project translations are completed. |
Paused | Project is temporarily stopped. |
Canceled | Project is permanently stopped. |
Prepare Projects
You can prepare your translation projects using:
- document tools in your Documents, or
- search results in Advanced Search.
The following sections describe how to prepare your translations in both locations.
Documents
You can easily add content to a TextMaster project from a document, by enabling the Translation Mode document tool.
This transforms the page into two columns of attributes. In the left column, you can choose:
- individual attributes to translate by selecting their checkboxes, or
- all attributes by selecting the Select All checkbox.
Once attributes have been selected, the Add to TextMaster button becomes enabled.
The Add to Cart TextMaster form opens so you can define the settings for the project.
Enter the following information:

With the multi-select field TextMaster translation model to use you can add your selection of elements to several projects at once.
Once you have completed the form, click the Add button to create your project or the Close button to return to the document without creating the project.
Advanced Search
You can add content from an entire selection of documents to a TextMaster project from the Advanced Search page.
Run a search and once you have the results, you can choose:
- individual attributes to translate by selecting their checkboxes, or
- all attributes by selecting the Select All option in the Selection dropdown list.
Once documents have been selected, the Add to TextMaster button becomes enabled. Clicking the button opens a form so you can define the settings for the project.
Enter the following information:

You can add up to 1000 items to your cart from the search.
With the multi-select field TextMaster translation model to use you can add your selection of elements to several projects at once.
Once you have completed the form, click the Add button to create your project or the Close button to return to the document without creating the project.
Manage Projects
You can view and manage your projects via the TextMaster Projects page in the Data Flow menu.
The inital page displays projects that have been sent to TextMaster (launched). The displayed projects are organized according to the translation models that have been defined in your TextMaster account. Each individual line includes the project's:
- the name ("Pim | template | $date") and id ("TR-xxx-xxx") of the TextMaster project
- the languages
- the status
- the number of words
- costs (estimated and final, provided by TextMaster)
- dates and times when a project was started and finished ("20xx-xx-xx xx:xx:xx")
To view projects that have not yet been sent to TextMaster (status = In creation), by clicking the See Cart button in the top right corner of the page. This opens the TextMaster Cart page.
To view the details of a project, click the More button.
You will find on this page :
- Documents added to the project
- The status of the cart
- The date of the cart update (date, time)
- An icon that allows you to access the document directly in a new tab
- An icon that allows you to manage the translated attributes.
Launch Projects
To send your project to TextMaster, click the See Cart button on the TextMaster Projects page. This opens the TextMaster Cart page, where you can select the project to be launched by clicking on the More button.
You can review the details of the project and when you're ready, click the Start the Project button. A dialog is displayed to cancel or confirm the launch.
Click the Sending button to launch the project or Cancel to abort the launch. The project is then sent to TextMaster in the form of documents to be reviewed and translated by TextMaster translators.
The project is automatically changed to In Progress status and added to the TextMaster Projects page.
Edit Projects
Only projects with In creation status can be edited.
To edit a project before it's sent to TextMaster, click the See Cart button on the TextMaster Projects page. This opens the TextMaster Cart page, where you can select the project to be edited by clicking on the More button.
You can edit projects :
- by deleting one or more documents from the cart
- by deleting one or more attributes within the same document
If you want to delete one or more documents from the cart, you can:
- select the document(s) to be deleted using the checkbox, or
- select all the documents to be deleted from the cart by clicking on the Delete All button.
Then click on the Delete from project button.
A dialog is displayed to cancel or confirm the deletion.
Click the Continue button to permanently remove the items from the project or Cancel to abort the deletion.
If you want to delete one or more attributes within a document, select the attribute(s) you want to delete using the checkbox and then click the Delete from Document button.
A dialog is displayed to cancel or confirm the deletion.
Click the Continue button to permanently remove the items from the project or Cancel to abort the deletion.
If you have empty projects, you can remove these items from the cart.
Review Projects
At any time you can review your TextMaster translations directly in your Quable PIM. When a document in a TextMaster project is ready to be reviewed, the user who created the project receives a notification.
To review a project, click the Detail button on the TextMaster Projects page. This opens the details of the project, where you can validate or reject the translations.
Warning
You have 1 week to review your project. After this period, TextMaster will automatically validate the translations and the content will be added to your Quable PIM.
Validate Translations
Once you have reviewed the translations and are satisfied, you can :
- validate one or more translated documents by selecting the document(s) to be validated using the checkbox, or
- select all the translated documents by clicking on the Select All button.
Then click on the Validate translations button.
A dialog box is displayed to cancel or confirm the validation.
Click the Continue button to confirm or Cancel to abort the validation. Once validated, the translated attributes are updated in the translation language.
Reject Translations
If you have reviewed the translations and are not satisfied, you can reject one or more translated documents by selecting the document(s) to reject and clicking the Refuse Translations button. A dialog is displayed to cancel or confirm the rejection, as well as provide feedback to TextMaster by entering comments.
If you have reviewed the translations and are not satisfied, you can:
- reject one or more translated documents by selecting the document(s) to be rejected with the checkbox, or
- select all the translated documents by clicking on the Select All button.
Then click on the Refuse Translations button.
A dialog box appears to cancel or confirm the rejection, as well as to provide feedback to TextMaster by entering comments.
You can refuse multiple documents at once and enter a comment per document in the dialog.
